Fred is a designated CPA and CGA, running his own specialized tax planning and advisory business, Fred Mertz Professional Corp. He has operated this business for the past 32 years with a dedicated focus exclusively on farming and ranching families. Fred also is a licensed real estate agent, who has conducted over $100 million in real estate transactions over the past 15 years, dealing exclusively with agricultural land deals. And he has served on a handful of for-profit and non-profit boards and committees, where his farming knowledge, professional experience, and love for the sector are an incredible asset. When Fred isn’t cultivating his ag business, he can be found enjoying the beauty of the Canmore mountains with his family.
